Nursery Admissions for September 2023

**** for children born between 01/09/2019 - 31/08/2020 ****

We are very proud to support the early education of children.

We have one intake in September.

Please note that we run separate morning and afternoon sessions on a full-time basis (i.e. attending for half the day, all week). Your child will be allocated to either morning or afternoon if your application is successful - We do not currently offer part-time places.

We are also really excited to begin offering full-day places to parents in receipt of the government's new 30 hours funding!

Am I Eligible?

Nursery admissions are managed by the school.  Places are in high demand for our Nursery setting.

Please take a look at our oversubscription criteria, which will give you an understanding of how we select pupils who apply and how we offer places if there are more applicants than places.

Applications received after the closing date are welcome but will be considered as late.

May 2023 - Offers & information letters will be emailed/posted out to parents for our new Nursery starters.

If you are looking for a nursery place before September 2022, please contact our Attendance Officer on 01438 351087 or admin@longmeadow.herts.sch.uk to enquire about school places.

We also offer 35 hour and 20 hour childcare for 3 and 4 year olds. This is because we give you 1 hour free childcare per day! So if you apply for 15 hours, we'll give you 20 hours and if you apply for 30 hours then we'll give you 35 hours!

The difference now is that some families will be entitled to additional Government funding for the 30 hours.  If you are not entitled to the funding, you can still choose to pay for more hours than the 15 free hours you are currently entitled to.

A 30 hours free childcare checklist has been developed for parents which cover some frequently asked questions, deadlines and when they can access the entitlement.

There are criteria you have to meet in order to claim the funded place.
