Welcome to Year 6!
Jade class have made a wonderful start to Year 6! This week we have settled quickly into life at the top of the school. In English we planned and wrote a story based on ‘Honey I Shrunk the Kids” focusing on using exciting descriptions and plenty of action to keep the reader interested.
In Maths we developed our problem solving skills to solve a variety of problems that required a range of different approaches and encouraged working systematically. We also started out unit of work in place value identifying the value of digits in numbers up to seven figures.
In addition to this, we have started our Space topic and created key questions that we will revisit over the course of the topic.
It has been an amazing first week getting to know the class and I look forward to seeing their amazing work and effort continue!
