Turquoise’s Super Spanish Morning

Turquoise class exploring Spanish culture.

In Year 3, Turquoise class have been learning about the country of Spain for there Europe topic and we have been researching Spanish culture. During the week, we have created posters based on facts we have found out and we have learnt some Spanish words such as:

Gracias - means Thank you.

Agua -  means water.

Adiós -  means goodbye.

Por favour - means please.

Amigo - means friend.

We then invited are parents into school for a morning to complete tasks based around the culture. We made fans, decorated pictures of bulls and made are own Spanish pinata. We also performed a range of Spanish dances such as Paso Doble and Flamenco. Some of us completed wordsearches based on the spanish numbers. Finally, we performed a Spanish song based on the numbers and some of the parents joined in.
