This week, we have been learning different strategies to help us with our mental addition.

We have been focusing on knowing and using number bonds to 10, 20 and 100, as well as reordering numbers to make them easier to add.

For example: 4 + 7 + 6 + 3 can be rearranged/split into 4 + 6 and 7 + 3 as these both add up to 10!

We have then looked at trickier sets of numbers and used this same method!
