Before we went on our walk we thought about questions we would like to find out about summer, such as 'What is the weather like?' 

On our walk we found lots of beautiful plants and flowers growing. Our school garden is very green in the summer and the weather is sunny and warm (well, most of the time!) There are lots of leaves on the trees and we spotted lots of insects. While we were walking we noticed our shadows on the ground. We learnt that a shadow is made when an object blocks the light. 

After our walk we planted our bean plants in our Year 1 garden. Look at how green fingered we are!
