Early Years Garden - Grand Reopening!

On Thursday 20th June, we hosted a grand reopening for the Early Years Garden!

It was absolutely lovely to see all the parents and children that turned up to show their support and try out the new play area!

It was thanks to our wonderful community that we were even given the opportunity to revamp the Early Years area...

At 2.15pm on Friday 28th September 2018, we held our first ever 'Colour Run' Event.

It was a fun 'colourful' challenge that helped raise money for the Early Year’s outside area. The 'Colour Run' was a fun and exciting way to exercise and raise money for the school.

Read all about it here

We'd like to say a huge thank you to the Stevenage Community Trust, Asda and all the parents, for supporting the 'Colour Run'.

Without their help, we wouldn't have had the opportunity to renovate the Early Years Garden to such an incredibly high standard.

We were very fortunate to have the Mayor, Simon Speller, and his wife come along and show their community spirit. The Mayor cut the ribbon, official opening the Early Years Garden to the children.

The parents and children watched our lovely choir sing beautifully before the ribbon cutting took place. They then had the chance to interact with all the staff and check out the new garden for themselves.

The children thoroughly enjoyed playing on all the new apparatus, with the sun beaming down on them!

Guests were then invited inside to partake in a delicious breakfast buffet, hosted by the first-rate Friends of Longmeadow.

We're very excited for the Early Years children to have this brand new play area at their disposal.

We'd also like to say a massive thank you to all the staff who work hard to maintain all of our outdoor provisions through all weathers!
